For the August edition, Firestorm explores the more provocative side of cinema, with films like?
- Violet (Germany): After an argument with his mother, 12-year-old Dan, who suffers from scoliosis, seeks love and intimacy from 17-year-old Anna, who is supposed to look after him. While his mother, who works for a security company, is on the night shift, Dan and Anna cross set boundaries.
- Barred (UK): The complexities of a life inside prison, through two very different cell mates. Night is an Odd Day (Italy): A food truck selling cyanotic butcher?s waste appears in the village, and little Tomasso can't imagine his fate lies with Vittorio, the man slicing meat before his eyes.
- Distressing Images (UK): A content moderator for a social media site begins to suspect his young son is hiding violent tendencies.
